Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Tribal Warrant Fairness Act
.
Sec. 2. Amendments
(a) U.S. Marshals Service
Section 566(e)(1) of title 28, United States Code, is amended—
(1)
in subparagraph (B), by inserting including Tribal fugitive matters (on the request of an Indian Tribe, as applicable),
after matters,
; and
(2)
in subparagraph (D), by inserting Tribal,
after local,
.
(b) Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000
Section 6 of the Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000 (34 U.S.C. 41503) is amended—
(1)
in subsection (a)—
(A)
by inserting and Indian Tribes
after components
; and
(B)
by striking and local
and inserting local, and Tribal
; and
(2)
in subsection (c), by striking Federal or State law
and inserting Federal, State, or Tribal law
.

Sec. 2. Definition
In this Act, the term Indian Tribe means any Indian or Alaska Native tribe, band, nation, pueblo, village, community, component band, or component reservation individually identified (including parenthetically) on the most recent list published by the Secretary of the Interior under section 104 of the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe List Act of 1994 (25 U.S.C. 5131).
